GEOMAT, a Satellite Monitoring and Georeferencing System, is made by Intermatica that works over Globalstar satellite network. By sending and receiving SBD - Short Burst Data, containing the GPS coordinates (or first aid requests), GEOMAT is able to identify and trace the path of any Peripheral Unit (hikers, boats, aircraft, vehicles etc.).
SBD contains the following information:
> Date and time of the survey;
> GPS position (latitude and longitude);
> ID terminal;
> Tracking frequency.
The tracking device has two buttons that allow to send an SMS / email for medical or mechanical support to a predefined list of 5 numbers / email.
The tracking frequency of sending GPS position can be set by the customer, before powering on the device.
The predefined delay time is 600 seconds (10 minutes) but it can also be set to 150 seconds (2.5 minutes), 300 seconds (5 minutes), 1800 seconds (30 minutes) and 3600 seconds (60 minutes).

> Delay Time 150 seconds (2,5 minutes) - 6 days
> Delay Time 300 seconds (5 minutes) - 8 days
> Delay Time 600 seconds (10 minutes) - 16 days
> Delay Time 1.800 secondi (30 minuti) - 48 days
> Delay Time 3.600 secondi (60 minuti) - 65 days
Operating Temperature: -30° C to +60° C
Operating altitude: -100 m to 6.500 m
If the target exceeds 1.130 Km/h (Mach 1) GPS accuracy degrades.
In order to modify the tracking frequency it is mandatory to upgrade the device by connecting it to the laptop.
